Ubisoft postpones free-to-play game The Division: Heartland until fiscal year 2022
Ubisoft has postponed the free-to-play game The Division: Heartland to fiscal year 2022, which runs from April 2022 to the end of March 2023. Previously, the game was said to be released in fiscal 2021. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time won’t be released until next fiscal year.
Ubisoft has not given a reason for the postponement of the games. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was previously communicated that it would be released “sometime in 2022.” With this broad release estimate, that can now also be the beginning of 2023.
The Division: Heartland was announced in May. Then it was said that the game would be released sometime in 2021 or 2022. This was later specified to the 2021 financial year, i.e. in the period from April 2021 to March 2022. In the new quarterly figures of the company, that is therefore postponed by one financial year.
Little is known about the free-to-play The Division title. For example, no gameplay footage of the first person shooter has been shown yet. The game is being made by Red Storm Entertainment, the studio that previously helped Massive Entertainment develop the previous The Division games.
