Ubisoft lets logged in users download Assassin’s Creed III for free
Ubisoft is offering the game Assassin’s Creed III for free for download on the occasion of its thirtieth anniversary. For this, users must have a free account with the publisher’s portal. This is the Windows version of the game. The game was released in the fall of 2012.
Users can download the game for free for the entire month, Ubisoft reports. The publisher gave away a Windows game every month for seven months because of its Ubi30 promotion, and Assassin’s Creed III is the last in that series.
The game requires at least a 2.66GHz Core2 Duo E6700 or a 3GHz Athlon 64 X2 6000+. The system must also consist of a DirectX 9.0c video card that can handle Shader Model 4.0 and has 512MB of its own memory. This means that the GeForce 8600 GT or Radeon HD 3870 is the minimum. In addition, at least 2GB of RAM must be built in and 17GB of free space on the hard disk is required.
The game is set during the American Revolution. The main character, named Connor, is of half British, half Native American descent. Connor finds himself in a battle with the Templars between the fighting British troops and American armies, led by George Washington.
