Ubisoft is working on several animated series based on the developer’s game series. The studio is said to be working on series based on Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and Watch Dogs. It is not yet known when we can expect the cartoons.

The French game studio will start with an alien animation show based on the Raving Rabbids series, writes Hollywood Reporter. The series would be set on Mars. There is already a raging rabbit series in the form of Rabbids Invasion on France 3 and Netflix. Ubisoft is also working on more kid-friendly shows that build on Rayman and the Hungry Shark games, among other things.

Ubisoft is also working on a spin-off of the Watch Dogs franchise. The game developer describes the show as a cyber mystery. It will be a hacking series inspired by Watch Dogs, but not set in the same universe. The first concept art shows a young hacker in a high school hallway.

For an adult audience, Ubisoft is working on Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Vibe. This show is based on Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, a game known for over-the-top action and vulgar humor. The series is being co-created with Adi Shankar, the producer of Netflix’s Castlevania series and the upcoming Devil May Cry animated series. Captain Laserhawk will form a “multiverse with other Ubisoft titles,” according to Hollywood Reporter.

Ubisoft continues to work on an animated sketch comedy about game culture. The company has also set up an incubator team. This team is responsible for ‘translating’ the essence of games to other media, including television. It is not clear when the series will come out or whether they will appear on Netflix, like Rabbids Invasion.
