Ubisoft Confirms New Assassin’s Creed Coming March 2012
Game developer Ubisoft has confirmed that it is working on a new edition in the Assassin’s Creed series. The next part is yet to be released in the financial year 2012, which equates to a date before March 2012.
Although Ubisoft had previously indicated that something new about the Assassin’s Creed franchise will be released in 2011, it has not yet confirmed that it is a completely new title. At the presentation of the annual figures, the company has now announced that a new game in the series is indeed coming out industrygamers.com. The developer aims to have the game on shelves before the end of the financial year, which runs to March 2012.
In addition to the untitled new edition, Ubisoft is also working on Assassin’s Creed: Lost Legacy for Nintendo 3DS. This handheld version was first unveiled at E3 in 2010 and is due out this year. The most recent addition to the series is Brotherhood, which came out at the end of last year for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The biggest innovation here is a completely new multiplayer mode. The PC version of Brotherhood is coming out a little later as usual and is scheduled for the first quarter of 2011.
