Ubisoft comes to China with Rabbids party game for Nintendo Switch
Ubisoft has announced the game Rabbids: Adventure Party for the Nintendo Switch in China. It appears to be a game that will only be released in China. Nintendo will release its console in that country this year.
Details and a video about the game are on a Chinese blog from Ubisoft. The game itself is also set in China and was created by Ubisoft Chengdu Studio. According to the description, the game world is inspired by Chinese traditional literature. The party game can be played with several players simultaneously on one screen.
Ubisoft has not made an international announcement of the game. Rabbids: Adventure Party seems to only be released in China. Nintendo will release its Switch there for the first time this year. Consoles are subject to strict rules in China. Between 2000 and 2015, there was a total ban on the supply of game consoles, because the government saw them as potentially harmful.
In 2017, Ubisoft released the game Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for the Nintendo Switch. That game was well received and also received an expansion, but new Rabbids games have not yet been announced for the Switch.
