Ubisoft has canceled the closed beta test promised to those who pre-ordered the game. Instead, pre-order players will receive an exclusive vehicle and social emblem when the game releases on November 3.

Ubisoft does not give a reason for the cancellation of the beta test, which was announced at E3 at the same time as the game. The response to the forum post announcing it has been negative and several people are talking about canceling their pre-order because they just placed it because of the beta access the publisher promised at E3. Ubisoft only reported the cancellation of the test on its own forum and so far has not sent emails to people with a pre-order.

As compensation, players with pre-orders will be offered two exclusive items. The first is a Command Ship and the second a Corporation Emblem. These bonuses are available to anyone who has pre-ordered at participating digital outlets. Anno 2205 will be released for Windows on November 3.
