Ubisoft Announces TV Series Based on Driver Games
Ubisoft announced a series based on the Driver games on Tuesday. It is a live-action series that will be shown exclusively on Binge.com. Ubisoft has partnered with the streaming platform for the series.
Ubisoft writes on its website that the series is about a driver who becomes an undercover agent. The protagonist’s mission in the series is to dismantle a criminal organization. Furthermore, the game publisher does not yet disclose much about the series.
The partnership with Binge.com isn’t just about the exclusive streaming deal, it will also involve producers from Binge: Allan Ungar and Vincent Talenti. Jason Altman, Danielle Kreinik, and Genevieve Jones are working on the series from Ubisoft. It is not yet known which actors will play in the films.
The racing game series dates back to 1999, when the first part was released for the PlayStation. The last installment for PC and consoles was Driver: San Francisco in 2011.
