Ubisoft announces rogue-lite mode for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Ubisoft announces a new mode for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It is a rogue-lite mode, in which players often die and can always make a new attempt to progress in the underworld Niflheim.
The new mode will be available for free for the game this summer. Like other rogue-lite games, players in this mode have to try and progress, often dying. Ubisoft has not yet announced how this mode will work. However, a trailer shows that the player can take on strong enemies, including dragons.
Ubisoft announces the new mode during the anniversary event for Assassin’s Creed. The game series is 15 years old. In addition to the new mode, a new Discovery Tour for Viking history is also available. This is a special version of the Assassin’s Creed games in which there is no combat, but the focus is on history for educational purposes.
Finally, the publisher announces that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will receive updates and new content for another year. The final chapter in Eivor’s story will be released later this year.
