Ubisoft has announced Far Cry 6 and released two cinematic trailers for the game at the same time. It shows Giancarlo Esposito, the actor who is known from Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian, among others.

Esposito plays a dictator from the fictional island of Yara. The trailer shows how he gives his son Diego a hand grenade and pulls out the pin, warning that he will be hated by the people as a successor. Those people have rebelled in the island’s capital, Esperanza.

In the game, players take on the role of Dani Rojas, who can be played as a man or woman and who uses guerrilla tactics to try to overthrow the dictator. Gameplay images Ubisoft has not yet published. A second cinematic trailer did appear, but little details about the game can be extracted from it.

Far Cry 6 will be released February 18 next year for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
