Twitterer discovers easteregg in Windows 1.0 with names of development team
A Twitter user has discovered an easteregg in Windows 1.0. The easteregg includes a list of the then Microsoft developers who co-developed the 37-year-old operating system. According to enthusiasts, the list of names can also be called up in Windows 2.0.
Twitter user Lucas Brooks shared a screenshot of Windows 1.0 containing a list containing the names of the members of the then Windows team. Next to it is a congratulatory message. The list includes the name of Gabe Newell, the founder and current CEO of Valve who worked at Microsoft from 1983 to 1996 and helped develop Windows 1.0, 2.0 and 2.1, among other things.
Out answers on Twitter it appears that the easteregg can also be called up in Windows 2.0; the list of team member names is extensive there. Brooks share in a tweet how he discovered the easteregg. The man states that the Microsoft team has added encrypted data to a bitmap file, but that the data is difficult to discover.
