Twitter will warn users if their tweets can come across as harmful schadelijk
Twitter is working on a warning message that will appear if users try to publish a tweet that may contain malicious language. That way, users can edit their tweet before publishing.
According to Twitter During a heated discussion, users may post something they later regret. To prevent this, the service is starting a limited test among iOS users, warning them before publishing if their tweet could come across as malicious.
On the basis of which Twitter determines that a message can be ‘harmful’, the site does not write. The site may send a warning if certain swear words appear in a tweet. Users can also ignore the prompt and post the message anyway. Instagram has had a similar alert system since last year, using artificial intelligence to pre-scan posts for mean content.
Twitter has also announced that it will adjust the conversation structure. In the new format, the service will go indent certain responses and work with clearer lines. According to the service, this makes it clearer which users respond to what. This feature was already available in the twttr beta app and is now being further tested in the iOS app and among browser users.
This last group of users will finally get one last, extra change in the format of Twitter to see. The service wants to place the Like, Retweet and Reply icons behind a Reply button. With this change, Twitter wants to see what the effects are for following and participating in a conversation.
