Twitter starts rolling out preview of new version TweetDeck
Twitter started rolling out a preview of an upcoming update to TweetDeck on Tuesday. The company previously hinted that it is working on a new design for its multiple Twitter account management service.
On the official Twitter account of TweetDeck announces the company presented the preview and a first image of the new design was also shown. The screenshot shows that TweetDeck gets an explore tab with trending topics. In addition, a few things have changed visually.
For now, the preview is only available to a select number of users who are randomly selected. This concerns users of TweetDeck in the United States, Australia and Canada. Selected users will be notified in TweetDeck if they want to switch to the preview.
It is not known when the new version will be available officially. Also, Twitter has not announced whether the preview will be available worldwide soon.
In 2011, Twitter bought the client for managing multiple Twitter accounts. Since then, the company has pretty much left TweetDeck as it was. This would be the first major update. Twitter would also consider a paid subscription to access TweetDeck, Bloomberg reported early this year. Twitter hasn’t announced anything about it yet.
