Twitter has removed two posts containing four videos of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, alleging that they violated the policies of the microblogging service. It was probably a violation related to information about Covid-19.

Twitter has the tweets from Bolsonaro removed on Sunday and has since shown the message ‘This Tweet is no longer available because it is the Twitter Rules has violated’. The tweets include videos in which the president speaks to groups of Brazilians on the streets of Brasilia, calling on them to continue working and questioning the quarantine measures.

“What I’ve heard from people is that they want to work. What I’ve said from the start is that we will be careful. People over 65 stay at home,” the president said in the videos, according to AFP. He would point out the danger of unemployment. “Let’s be realistic with the virus, we are all going to die one day,” he continued.

Twitter recently expanded its policies to ban information that contradicts that of official health organizations and increases the risk of spreading Covid-19.
