Twitch releases free karaoke game

Twitch has released a karaoke game called Twitch Sings, which is free to play. There’s tight integration with the company’s streaming service, so the main goal is to sing songs along with an entire channel.

The arrival of Twitch Sings was announced on the company’s blog, as well as at its own TwitchCon Europe event. The game should be available to everyone worldwide right away, with players not having to pay.

It is possible to sing offline and independently, but Twitch mainly focuses on singing together with subscribers of the relevant Twitch channel in which the singing takes place. For example, duets are possible, and listeners can submit request numbers. About 1000 songs have been made available to sing.

Twitch Sings has been in beta for some time, but is now ready for the general public. The game has been tested in closed form for several months.
