Twitch is experiencing a major outage – update

Stream service Twitch is experiencing a major outage. The service announces this on its own status page. It is unknown what is going on, how long it may last and whether all users are affected.

According to AlleStoringen the reports started after seven o’clock on Tuesday evening. Twitch’s status page mentions a ‘major outage’ in many of the service’s functions. Chat and purchases work according to the service, but logging in, the web interface, streaming and watching streams, among other things, would not work properly. Twitch says he is working on a solution. It is unclear how long that could take.

Updated, 9:04 PM: The problem seems to have been resolved.
