Twitch Introduces Video Producer Tool

Twitch has announced Video Producer, giving users of the service broadcasting capabilities for videos they produce or existing video streams they want to publish as Rerun. With the service, Twitch seems to want to position itself more as a YouTube competitor.

One of the components of Video Producer is Premiere. This is a third publishing option in addition to Live and Rerun and all uploads must appear as Premiere. The intention is that creators build the tension towards the publication of their video and they are given the option to make an intro with a countdown, among other things. The other part of Video Producer broadcasts is Rerun, where streamers can rebroadcast existing videos, for example to show the best moments.

Concurrent with the announcement for Video Producer, Twitch is announcing a partnership with Disney Digital Network to publish exclusive videos. This concerns streams from four video makers under contract with Disney: Jacksepticeye, LuzuGames, Markiplier and Strawburry17. Those creators also have popular YouTube channels, totaling over 44 million subscribers.
