Twitch allows users to share 30 second clips

Twitch is announcing a new feature called Clips. With it, viewers can easily share the last 25 and next 5 seconds of a stream in the form of a 30-second clip. Viewers can navigate to the original stream through the clip.

According to Twitch’s Product Marketing Manager Noreen McInnis, users can hit the Clips button as many times in a row as they want to ensure they’ve captured the moment they want to share from start to finish. A tab will then appear in which the clip or clips are shown and can easily be shared via, for example, social media.

Clips are also saved to the profile page of the capturer. The recipient of such a clip can then easily watch the rest of the stream, even if it has already ended. Clips is initially only available to a limited number of users and only on select partnered Twitch channels. The feature should be extended to all users over the next few weeks.
