Tuxedo releases Aura 15 laptop with Linux and Ryzen 7 4700U CPU from 800 euros

Tuxedo Computers has announced the Aura 15. This Linux laptop has an AMD Ryzen 7 4700U CPU. The basic model costs 800 euros and has 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. A version without ssd costs 750 euros. The Tuxedo Aura 15 can be delivered standard with various Linux distributions. Users can choose between encrypted or unencrypted installations of openSUSE, Tuxedo_OS 20.04 LTS or Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. Other Linux distros are also supported. Users can also choose to order the laptop without an OS. Windows 10 Home and Pro are also options, whether or not in a dual boot configuration. The Tuxedo Aura 15. This 15W processor has eight cores without simultaneous multithreading with a clock speed of 2GHz and boost speeds of up to 4.1GHz. The integrated RX Vega GPU has seven compute units. Aura 15 has two SO-DIMM slots and officially supports up to DDR4-3200. The laptop comes with a maximum of 8GB of DDR4 memory, but users can optionally expand this to a maximum of 64GB. Tuxedo offers a choice of DDR4-2666 and -3200 dimms from different manufacturers. In terms of storage, the Aura 15 offers a single M.2 slot. Users can equip the laptop to the maximum from the factory with a 2TB drive from Samsung. The laptop can also be delivered without an SSD. The Aura 15’s 15.6 “ips panel has a full HD resolution and achieves a maximum brightness of 300cd / m². According to Tuxedo, the screen can handle 95 percent of the sRGB. The 49Wh battery of the Aura 15 comes with a 65W charger. In ‘average office use’ with average screen brightness, the laptop can last up to 9 hours, according to Tuxedo. The laptop lasts for 15 hours on the lowest screen brightness. and without Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and keyboard lighting, the manufacturer claims. The laptop has an Intel AX-200 card with support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Optionally, an LTE module from Huawei can be added for 4G support. The laptop has dimensions of 360x239x19.9mm and weighs 1.65 kilograms, the basic model costs 800 euros and the most expensive variant costs 1596.50 euros, without an SSD, the laptop costs 750 euros.
