Turtle Rock Studios Showcases Back 4 Blood Co-Op Zombies Card System
A new trailer for Back 4 Blood explains the card system and Game Director. Both players and the AI director will be given cards to customize the play style. The game from the makers of Left 4 Dead will be released in October.
A Back 4 Blood game starts with the Game Director’s Deal. In it, the director plays a set of cards that modify the environment and enemies. With that, for example, certain mutations of zombies appear in the game. Players then choose their own set of cards, or a prebuilt deck. These are cards with buffs and bonuses, for example for more damage or more speed.
While playing the game, players can earn new cards by completing challenges and objectives. According to developer Turtle Rock Studios, the cards and the presence of the Game Director make every game dynamic and intense.
Back 4 Blood is a co-op zombie shooter from the makers of Left 4 Dead. The game was announced late last year and was supposed to be released in June, but that’s in March postponed to October 12. An open beta will start in the summer. The game will be available for current and previous generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles, on Steam and on the Epic Games Store.
