Turkish government blocks access to Wikipedia

In Turkey, access to Wikipedia is blocked on Saturday. Turkish internet users receive a notification that the site has been made inaccessible by order of the government, but no reason for the blockage has yet been given.

On Saturday morning, reports came in about the blockade, which applies to both the Turkish and international versions of Wikipedia. Internet users with a Turkish IP address seem to be denied access to Wikipedia, so it remains possible to visit the site with a VPN provider.
