True Wireless earbuds from Klipsch charge in Zippo-style case
Audio manufacturer Klipsch is expanding its headphone range with the T5 True Wireless, a completely wireless set of earphones. The caps come with a charging case reminiscent of a Zippo lighter.
Klipsch introduced the T5 True Wireless ahead of the CES electronics show, which will be held in Las Vegas from January 8-11. The caps have to compete with Apple’s AirPods and the Sony WF-1000X, among other things. Just like those earphones, you can recharge the T5 True Wireless on the go with a charging case. Its design is clearly a nod to the iconic Zippo lighter. On one charge, the earphones last for about eight hours, after which the battery of the charging case offers enough energy for three additional charges.
The T5 True Wireless will be on the market in the spring and will have a target price of $199. Klipsch also announced wireless earbuds with a so-called neckband in the new T5 series. That model changes hands for 59 dollars.
