Feral Interactive will release its mobile version of Tropico for Android on September 5. The strategy game already appeared for Apple iOS last year. The Android version requires 2.5GB of free space and runs on Android 8 or newer.

Feral Interactive lists in the Google Play Store a list of Android devices that are officially supported. This concerns Pixel devices from the Pixel 2 and recent smartphones from Huawei, Samsung, OnePlus and Xiaomi, among others. Only one tablet is mentioned, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S4.

The app also works on other hardware, but Feral does not provide official support for this. Presumably the list of devices consists of hardware on which the publisher has tested the game itself. According to Feral, the game is not available at all for devices that the game does not run on anyway.

Last year, Feral Interactive released a version of Tropico for Apple’s iPad. The iOS version got an update this year and now also works on iPhones. The version coming to Android is the same game. In terms of gameplay and features, the game is similar to the PC and console versions, but it is a variant that has been specially developed for touchscreens.
