Treyarch Releases Black Ops 4 DLC With New Specialist And Maps
Black Ops 4’s new DLC, Operation Specter Rising, includes a new Specialist, a new game mode and more maps for multiplayer. The DLC is available now for PS4 and will soon be available for Xbox One and PC as well.
The new playable character Treyarch introduces, Spectre, is an old acquaintance from Black Ops 3. Armed with a sword as a special attack, the Assassin is playable in both multiplayer and Blackout mode. In addition, Prop Hunt brings back an old game mode. Here, players can disguise themselves as all kinds of objects and thus hide from an opponent. The capture the flag mode, well known for shooters, will also be added with this dlc, although it will only be available at a later time.
The multiplayer of Black Ops 4 has also been adjusted in a few areas. A number of innovations have been made to the World League Hub, such as a system whereby players who leave a game early are suspended for a short time. The more suspensions a player receives, the longer he has to wait for the next round of play. Players who leave a game will also lose more points. Furthermore, the skill-based matchmaking has been improved.
Blackout has also received an update. The battle royale map gets a modified terrain due to the so-called Wetworks update, because an explosion takes place at the Hydro Dam. As a result, certain areas on this map are flooded and a boat is indispensable. A new Bounty Hunter mode has also been added. In this game mode, there are several storage places on the map that contain weapons, equipment or perks. The new character Specter will also appear in Blackout. If a player finds the sword in one of the storage areas, he turns into the Assassin.
Furthermore, the battle royale mode Ground War will make its debut in the coming weeks for Blackout. This makes the battle bigger. Down But Not Out also returns with modified rules and mechanics. Furthermore, a number of new characters have been added for Blackout, including David Mason, Uncle Frank and Sergei.
The zombie mode has also been tinkered with. For example, a new challenge has been added and more will follow in the coming weeks. The first Gauntlet takes place on the playing field called Dead of the Night. Also, a new weapon and an elixir has been added to the zombie mode.
