The NS says that due to a data and telephone disruption, there are currently no trains running to and from Schiphol Airport, and fewer intercity trains between The Hague Central Station and Leiden Central Station. Due to the malfunction, no contact is possible between drivers and traffic control.

The glitch occurred at 4:45 p.m at ProRail’s communication system. ProRail says that this disruption has now been resolved and that trains can therefore run again ‘gradually’. NS says that there are currently no trains running to and from Schiphol due to the disruption. In 2021 there was a national outage via ProRail’s GSM-Rail-2G network. It is not clear whether Tuesday’s outage is with that system or with another system.
