Trailer shows first images of Fable, game will be released in 2025

Microsoft has released a new trailer for Fable. The reboot of the fantasy RPG should be released in 2025 for PC and Xbox consoles. The images show that choices will once again be an important gameplay element.

In the trailer we see how an important character from the game, named Humphry, must return from rest to protect the city of Albion from a mysterious figure. The trailer also shows aspects of the game world, such as locations, NPCs, weapons and monsters, and aspects of the combat system. Fable will according to Microsoft to be released in 2025. It is not clear when exactly and how much the game should cost.

Fable will be the fourth major game in the Fable series and the first mainline title in the franchise since 2010's Fable 3. In the meantime, a number of spin-offs have appeared in the Fable series, including Fable Heroes. The upcoming game is a reboot, which was first announced in 2020. The game is being developed by Playground Games, a studio best known for the Forza Horizon series.
