Tracker Block Add-on Comes Out For Edge Browser
Ghostery, an add-on to block trackers, has been released for Microsoft’s browser Edge. As of version 7.1.1, the tracker blocker supports the default browser of Windows 10. Ghostery previously appeared for other browsers such as IE, Chrome and Firefox.
The developers behind Ghostery say they have collaborated with Microsoft to make the extension available for Edge. As a result, bugs from the extension have been fixed in recent months. Ghostery can now be installed from the Windows Store.
Ghostery is a browser add-on that provides insight into trackers present on web pages. These are used, among other things, for visitor statistics and direct marketing. It is also possible to block these trackers, which benefits, among other things, privacy and loading times. The add-on is also available for Opera, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Android and iOS. With the release of version 7 in September, Ghostery already announced that the Edge version was coming.
