The official Tour de France game is getting a new camera perspective this year. The game will also be released for PC sometime after the release of the console version. Tour de France 2020 is being developed by Cyanide Studios, which also makes Pro Cycling Manager.

According to the developer and publisher Bigben, the first-person perspective makes the game more realistic and convincing. In the game, players must, among other things, dose the powers of cyclists and they can choose when to escape or when a sprint is started.

The 2020 version of the game will also include the 266-kilometer cycling classic Liège-Bastogne-Liège, a new interface designed to help players anticipate the course better, and a time trial mode that focuses on attitude management and sprints. The makers also say that the artificial intelligence of the opponents has been improved in the new game.

Tour de France 2020 will be released on June 4 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This means that the game will be released almost three months before the start of the cycling round. The event has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and will start on August 29, if circumstances permit.

It is not yet clear when the PC version will be released. The makers do say that the game is coming to Steam. The PC version will appear alongside cycling management game Pro Cycling Manager 2020, which is being made by the same studio.
