Toshiba will release a 5TB drive in March for 229 euros

Toshiba has announced a 3.5″ drive with a storage capacity of 5TB. The PX3010E-1HQ0 will be released next month for 229 euros. There is also a variant with 4TB storage for 199 euros, the manufacturer announced.

The 3.5″ HDDs from Toshiba have a SATA600 connection. According to the manufacturer, the drives are intended for both business and home users. They rotate at a maximum of 7200rpm and have a memory buffer of 128MB. The manufacturer reports that the large storage capacity is partly possible. is by pmr technology

The discs are both 14.7×10.2×2.6cm in size and weigh 720 grams. The discs will be released in March. The 4TB version, with the type number PX3009E-1HP0, will cost 199 euros, while the 5TB variant has a suggested retail price of 229 euros. Toshiba previously released similar models in America.
