Toshiba to release 13.3″ tablet with keyboard dock in October
Toshiba introduces the Portégé X30T-E, a detachable that consists of a 13.3″ tablet and a keyboard dock with detachable battery. The device runs on Windows 10 Pro and is equipped with an Intel processor.
According to Toshiba, the tablet portion weighs 799 grams and including the keyboard dock, the weight is 1399 grams. Both parts contain a 36Wh battery, for a total capacity of 72Wh. There is also an optional travel keyboard, then the total weight is 1189 grams. It probably doesn’t contain a battery, or a smaller one. Toshiba does not mention that in its announcement.
The Portégé X30T-E features eighth-generation Intel Core processors and up to 16GB of lpddr3 memory. Toshiba makes configurations on demand from companies, with a choice of Core i3-8130U, i5-8250U, i7-8550U or vPro versions such as the i5-8350U and i7-8650U.
The tablet part has a 13.3″ touchscreen with a full-HD resolution. There is a built-in stand with various angles. You can also work with a stylus, the included Toshiba Universal Stylus Pen, which works on the basis of Wacom- Also optional is an LTE modem, and the keyboard dock contains a fingerprint scanner.
The X30T-E has two USB 3.0 connections, a gigabit Ethernet port, VGA and HDMI connections and a USB-C connection with which the keyboard dock can be charged. Toshiba will release the device in October in the Benelux. The company focuses on the business market and expects to supply a model with Core i5 for a price from 1699 euros excluding VAT. Including VAT, that is 2055.79 euros.
