Toshiba equips 8.9 “convertible from 299 euros with full-HD touchscreen

Toshiba has announced the Satellite Click Mini: a convertible with an 8.9″ IPS touchscreen that displays images in a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. It is a “Windows 8.1 with Bing” laptop, which has 32GB of storage, a Atom processor and a price of 299 euros.

The 8.9″ screen with full-HD resolution is an IPS panel. The convertible consists of a tablet and a detachable keyboard. The battery capacity is 19.5Wh and the tablet lasts 8 hours according to the statement of Toshiba In combination with the keyboard, the battery life is 16 hours.

The processor is the Atom Z3735F quad-core, there is 2GB DDR3L memory and the storage capacity is provided by an emmc module of 32GB. Further storage must be done online via the 1TB provided by Microsoft’s OneDrive service. In addition, the tablet contains micro HDMI and micro USB 2.0, while the keyboard adds a full USB 2.0 and HDMI port. The tablet has a slot for micro SD cards and regular SD cards fit in the keyboard part. The 2-in-1 device also supports Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi-n.

On either side is a speaker with support for Dolby Digital Plus and the camera on the back has a resolution of 5 megapixels. The resolution of the front camera is 2 megapixels. The Satellite Click Mini will be available in white at the end of March and a gold version will follow in the second quarter of 2015. Both will have a suggested retail price of 299 euros.
