Torrent site MagnetDL shuts down for unknown reason

Torrensite MagnetDL has stopped. Visitors to the website will only see the logo there, and a short message that the website is closed. It is not known why MagnetDL is discontinuing it.

MagnetDL existed for more than seven years. The website collected and bundled magnet links from other sources, but did not host torrents itself. As far as we know, MagnetDL was not under legal fire like many other download websites.

“MagnetDL is closed,” the site reads. “It’s been seven great years and it’s a shame it has to end. Thank you to everyone who has visited the site over the years, especially our regular visitors.” The administrators have not further explained the motivation to take MagnetDL offline.
