TomTom Releases Spark Series of Music Player Fitness Wearables

TomTom comes with new fitness wearables that include a music player. The wearables with GPS support are equipped with 3GB storage capacity for the storage of music. Some models get heart rate monitors.

TomTom tries to distinguish itself in the full market for fitness wearables with the music player. The company promises that music can easily be transferred via iTunes and the Windows Media player and the built-in player has support for playlists, among other things.

Some models of the Spark get Bluetooth support for the combination with wireless headphones and a heart rate monitor to monitor users’ heart rhythm during exercise. Furthermore, the wearable must be able to monitor activity in various sports and provide real-time statistics via GPS tracking.

TomTom has not yet released many details, such as about the screen used. The sale starts immediately for a starting price of 249 euros.
