TomTom Go for iOS is now also available with a cheaper annual subscription
TomTom introduces an annual subscription in its TomTom Go app for iOS. Instead of eighteen euros for two six months, a subscription can now be taken out for thirteen euros per year. TomTom uses a different revenue model for Android.
With the new subscription formula for the TomTom Go Navigation app, iOS users can save about seven euros on an annual basis. Previously they only had a choice of subscriptions for one, three and six months, which were relatively more expensive than the new annual subscription. The three-month subscription will expire. One month costs two euros, TomTom charges nine euros for six months, so an annual subscription amounts to thirteen euros. All formulas can be tried for free for a while.
For TomTom GPS Navigation, the Android equivalent of TomTom Go Navigation, the company currently uses a different revenue model. This app allows users to navigate 75 kilometers per month without restrictions – a possibility that the iOS version has since abandoned. If you want more, you can choose from a monthly subscription of six euros or an annual subscription of twenty euros in the Android app.
The TomTom Go Navigation app for iOS received a major update earlier this year that added support for CarPlay, among other things.
