Toadman Interactive Is Working On Third IGI Shooting Game
Toadman Interactive, the development studio responsible for the action RPG Immortal: Unchained, has released a third title in the IGI series. The first two titles were released in 2000 and 2003, which can be described as tactical fps games in which stealth plays an important role.
The new title in the IGI series will be released sometime in 2021 and, like the previous two parts, can be described as a tactical first person shooter with stealth elements. The third game will be a prequel to the first two parts, which involves discovering the founding story of the IGI organization.
Toadman has started development on the third title, which is now in a prototype phase. One of the original creators is also collaborating on the new game. The development studio is asking fans of the franchise to come forward with ideas and feedback while the game is still in early development. Toadman says the teaser video was released to give fans the chance to express what they would like to see in the game.
Project IGI: I’m Going In is the original and came out in December 2000. The developer was Innerloop Studios and the publisher Eidos Interactive. A sequel, called IGI-2: Covert Strike, followed in March 2003, with Eidos being exchanged as publisher for Codemasters. The gameplay of these games revolved around giving players the freedom to infiltrate military bases in their own way, where punishing mistakes was often crucial.
