Titanfall beta starts in February for Windows and Xbox One – Update
After Titanfall’s alpha test that took place earlier this month, it’s now time for the beta. It starts on February 14 and lasts for a week. The news was announced yesterday via the French game site Xboxygen and was also confirmed via Twitter by developer Respawn Entertainment.
The first signs that a beta test will take place were spotted yesterday in France, at retail chain Zappos. Earlier this month, Respawn held a limited alpha test of the game for Xbox One. Although this test of the game was closed and only took place on the Xbox One, the beta test will be open to everyone, tells the developer via Twitter. How signing up for the beta will work later announced.
Titanfall is being developed by new developer Respawn Entertainment, which was founded by former Infinity Ward leaders Jason West and Vince Zampella. The gentlemen left Infinity Ward in 2010 after disagreements with their publisher Activision and immediately took a significant number of their colleagues with them. Titanfall will be released in Europe on March 13 for Windows and Xbox One, as well as Xbox 360.
Update, 11:50 AM: This article incorrectly stated that this is a closed beta. This has been adjusted.
