YouTuber Akaki Kuumeri has turned his Xbox One controller into a real hotas set-up for Flight Simulator with a 3d printer. The designs to be used with a 3d printer hands on throttle-and-stick of a controller, he shared.

Since the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator, flight controllers and joysticks have become very popular again. In fact, they are so popular that some models are not available and prices have gone up. Kuumeri has an original solution for this: he transformed his Xbox One controller into a hotas. He does that with 3d-printed parts, which he made in Fusion 360.

He explains the process in a video and the maker answers questions on Reddit. The necessary files can be downloaded from Thingiverse, so that anyone with a 3D printer can get started and turn their own controller into a flight controller. That only works with Xbox One controllers, the design is not suitable for other controllers.
