TikTok shows way to put part of other user’s video into own video
TikTok has shown the Stitch feature. This allows users to put part of a video from another user into their own video. This makes it possible, for example, to invent your own ending to a video.
Users will find the Stitch option in the app from Friday, next to the Duet option, which allows users to play another user’s video in addition to their own. Anyone who presses Stitch will be given the option to select a portion of another user’s video to include in their own video, TikTok says.
After selecting a part of the video, a user can start working on it, for example to put a different ending after it. The function will coexist with Duet. There is no obligation to make a video available to Stitch; users can also choose to turn the feature off, preventing their video from being used for the feature.
Many social media have the option to do something with someone else’s posts. The feature is reminiscent of Twitter’s Quote Tweets, where users can comment on someone else’s tweet.
