TikTok adds ads to search results
Video platform TikTok will add advertisements to search results. The intention is that these are relevant advertisements.

The ads appear randomly between the search results, says TikTok. The software determines which advertisements may be relevant to user searches. From Tuesday, advertisers can indicate that they also want to show their advertisements in search results.
As a result, users will probably also see the advertisements from Tuesday. The ads are labeled as ‘sponsored’, as is now the case with ads in the For You feed.
