Thrones of Britannia Mac and Linux Release Shortly Following Windows Version
Feral Interactive has announced that it will release the Total War game Thrones of Britannia for macOS and Linux. According to the company, this will happen shortly after the Windows version, which will be released on April 19.
In the release announcement, the company does not specify the exact release date of the Mac and Linux versions. They will eventually be available via Steam and the Feral Store. It is not the first time that Feral Interactive has released ports of a Total War game. It did that before with other games from the well-known series, for example for the Shogun and Warhammer variants. Furthermore, the company has made the iPad version of Rome: Total War.
The Creative Assembly announced Thrones of Britannia late last year. The game basically covers the same historical period that was central to the 2003 expansion Medieval: Total War Viking Invasion, in which the player had to invade Britain with Normans. It’s 878 and there’s no end time set, but the game goes back approximately to the year 1066. It revolves around the battle between the various British kingdoms at the time. The engine of Thrones of Britannia is based on that of Total War: Attila.
