Threads will have a web version and search functionality ‘in a few weeks’

Meta will introduce a web version of Threads ‘in a few weeks’. A search function is also being worked on. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote this on the new social media platform. Currently, the web version of Threads has rather limited functionality.

Mark Zuckerberg wrote that Threads has had “a good week.” There lies according to the CEO There’s still a lot of work to be done, but Zuckerberg is reportedly excited about the speed at which the development team will be able to introduce new features. Two of those features are a search function and a full-fledged web version of the platform.

It is currently already possible to visit Threads via a desktop browser. However, anyone who wants to ‘like’ messages, post a reply or post a message themselves must download the app. Threads is a Twitter-like platform where users can share short text messages. Users can link their Threads account to an Instagram account. The Threads app is currently only available in the United States and the United Kingdom. The social media platform is reportedly not coming to the European Union ‘yet’.
