Publisher THQ has sued Activision Blizzard for alleged copyright infringement. The companies both have an off-road racing game based on the Baja racing class, and the games are very similar.

THQ, publisher of Baja: Edge of Control, believes that Activision Blizzard’s Score International Baja 1000: The Official Game infringes the company’s rights to its game. Apart from the subject matter of both games being the same, both packshots are also quite similar. However, the box art of Baja: Edge of Control has been fixed since June 2008, which is why THQ thinks Activision Blizzard is in violation, reports Patent Arcade. Both companies have not yet commented further on the upcoming lawsuit.
