This keyboard (plus trackpad!) turns your iPad Pro into a laptop replacement
Do you use your iPad Pro 2018 as an alternative to a laptop? Then of course you need a decent keyboard. With the Brydge Pro+ you can turn your iPad Pro into a MacBook lookalike – including trackpad! The keyboard was demonstrated during CES technology fair which is currently in full swing.
Brydge Pro+: iPad Pro keyboard with trackpad
It was announced a while back: the Brydge Pro+, an iPad Pro keyboard with an integrated trackpad. Mouse support is new to iPadOS – actually intended as an accessibility option for people who have trouble operating the iPad. But with this accessory, Brydge has made great use of this new feature.
It is a bluetooth keyboard that you could theoretically also connect with other iPads, but the design is geared in everything to the iPad Pro 2018 (that futuristic one, without a home button). The aluminum keyboard is available for the 12.9- and 11-inch iPad Pro and will be available in space gray upon release.
The Brydge Pro+ has a backlight in three modes and should last three months on a single battery charge. And then there’s a multi-touch trackpad; it recognizes multi-finger gestures. By the way, you can also buy a separate trackpad, in case you already have a good keyboard.
Buy Brydge Pro+
The Brydge Pro+ is currently available for pre-order. The first 500 buyers will receive the keyboard at the end of February, the rest will receive it at the end of March. The 12.9 Pro+ costs €249.99, the 11 Pro+ costs €219.99. For comparison, Apple’s own Smart Keyboard Folio – without trackpad – costs €219 or €199 respectively. No further details are known about the standalone trackpad.
