This is how big the screen of the Apple Watch Series 7 will be
The Apple Watch Series 7 gets a completely new design, but also a larger screen with new watch faces. This is what you can expect.
Apple Watch Series 7 screen
According to a new report from Bloomberg, the Apple Watch Series 7 will have a 16% larger screen. This fits with previous rumors of the new model’s larger 41mm and 45mm case sizes. This may not sound like a huge improvement, but it does add enough room for a few new watch faces. Bloomberg has already explained this.
For example, we can expect the ‘Modular Max’ dial. This is a digital clock with several oversized complications. Also ‘Continuum’, which adapts to ‘the flow of time’, will be new on the Apple Watch Series 7. In addition, ‘Atlas’ will be added, a watch face with the earth and all 24 time zones simultaneously. The latter was already leaked during WWDC, as you can see above.
Thinner edges and new design
The larger screen of the Apple Watch Series 7 will be framed by thinner screen bezels. As a result, thecasing will not increase in size by 16% despite the larger screen. The last time we saw a similar development was with the Apple Watch Series 4, when the small square screen was replaced by a larger rounded screen. However, the change will be a lot smaller this year.
As for the case, according to previous rumors, we can expect a completely new design for the first time in the history of the Apple Watch. It will have flattened edges, just like the iPhone 12 and other recent Apple devices. There will also be a new green variant.
Patience is a virtue
Chances are we’ll have to wait a little longer for the new Apple Watch. Production of the new model would have been stopped due to production problems, which meant that the release had to be postponed. We’ll no doubt know more after Apple’s September event.
