Gloomwood will be available in early access on August 16. This stealth action game is inspired by the Thief series and is coming to PC. A demo of the game has already been released.
New Blood Interactive describes Gloomwood as a ‘stealth horror first person shooter’. Players are kidnapped in-game to a ‘forgotten, twisted Victorian metropolis’ that is in the midst of a ‘horrific transformation’. The game takes place in a city full of haunted streets, dark tunnels and decadent mansions where they must survive and battle with inhabitants and monsters. Gloomwood is all about stealth, but players also get an arsenal of weapons with swords, revolvers, guns and traps.
Gloomwood is being developed by New Blood, who previously created the first-person shooters Dusk and Ultrakill. The company previously released a pre-alpha demo of Gloomwood, which is still playable via Steam† The game will be available in an early access title on August 16. The price is not known yet. According to the makers, Gloomwood takes inspiration and survival horror games from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
