Thermaltake shows PhD water coolers that cool processor and ram
Thermaltake will announce two PhD water coolers during CES that will cool both the CPU and the RAM modules. The coolers are compatible with Thermaltake RC memory for this. The PhD students will be released this quarter in 240mm and 360mm variants. Recommended retail prices are unknown.
The Thermaltake Floe RC360 and RC240 combine a processor cooler with memory cooling. The associated RC memory modules are connected to the AIO cooler via the side. The RC360 comes with three Thermaltake Airflow 120mm ARGB fans, while the RC240 comes with two. The fans and the cooling block both have RGB lighting. This can be controlled with an included rgb controller, although they are also compatible with rgb software for Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Biostar and ASRock motherboards.
The accompanying Thermaltake RC memory modules come in sets of 4x8GB, for a total of 32GB. The memory comes with clock speeds that vary between 3200 and 4400MHz. The memory modules would be comparable to Thermaltake’s ToughRam series, but can therefore be connected to the new Thermaltake PhDs. According to Thermaltake, the RC products will be released this quarter. The company has not yet mentioned suggested retail prices.
