The Witcher 3 card game Gwent is coming to iOS on October 29 29
Gwent, the card game from The Witcher 3, will be available as a standalone game for iOS on October 29. It is already possible to pre-order the game before it comes out. A release on the Android operating system is yet to come.
With an introduction video, which provides little new information, the introduction date of October 29 is announced. Then Gwent can be played on iPhone and iPad, by downloading the game from the App Store. Those who are interested can already place a pre-order: the webpage for this has already been put online. It is also possible to play for free.
A PC version of Gwent has been available since last year, and CD Projekt Red had promised to bring the game to mobile devices as well, covering the iOS and Android operating systems. Where the iOS version now has a release date, it is not yet available for Android. The developers will probably announce it at a later stage.
Gwent was born in The Witcher 3 as a kind of mini-game where players could collect cards to play with and defeat NPCs to collect even more cards and complete the collection. The game turned out to be very popular, after which CD Projekt Red decided to make it a standalone game.
