The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe has been postponed until next year
Developer Crows Crows Crows will release The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe next year. The title was previously slated for a 2019 release. It is an expanded version of the game that came out in 2013, with new content. The game is also coming to consoles.
A release date for The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe has never been set, but the developer said when it was announced late last year that the game would be released in 2019. Now the studio announces in an extensive video that this will not work and that the game will be released sometime in 2020, “probably before the summer”.
Originally a mod for Half-Life 2, The Stanley Parable came out as a standalone version on Steam in 2013. It is a satirical game that is about office worker Stanley and a narrator who comments on everything the player does. That narrator is also mentioned in the video that Crows Crows Crows has put online.
The Ultra Deluxe version of the game is getting new content. According to the creators, the new content is about half the size of the original script. The game will also come to consoles for the first time with the new version, although it is not yet known which ones.
