The position of tech giants in the war for Ukraine

The first casualty in any war may be the truth, but impartiality is often buried quickly too. Continuing to do business in both countries at war is difficult. Tech giants are therefore increasingly forced to make a choice.

This article is not about digital warfare in and around Ukraine. While that is happening all the time and the role of hacks and hacker groups is mighty interesting, this is only about the role that tech giants from the US and China are playing in the war over Ukraine. We also leave out smaller companies, as well as calls to cut off Russia from the internet or to block the TLD. The war in Ukraine provides material for hundreds of stories, in tech alone. This is one of them, which is about the position of tech giants from the West and the East.
