The Outer Worlds will be released March 6 for the Switch but not as a cartridge

Obsidian Entertainment’s roleplaying game The Outer Worlds will be released for the Nintendo Switch on March 6. The game then enters Nintendo’s eShop and boxes also appear in the store, but they contain a download code and no cartridge.

Publisher Private Division announce the arrival of the Switch version of The Outer Worlds on Twitter, where users expressed disappointment that the physical release does not contain a cartridge. The size of the download is not yet known. Both the physical version and the digital version in the eShop cost $ 60.

The port was co-developed with studio Virtuos, who also brought LA ​​Noire and Dark Souls to the Switch. The Outer Worlds was released last October for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
