The Outer Worlds will be released for Switch on March 6, but not as a cartridge

Obsidian Entertainment’s role-playing game The Outer Worlds is coming to Nintendo Switch on March 6. The game will then appear in Nintendo’s eShop and boxes will also appear in the store, but they contain a download code and no cartridge.

Publisher Private Division announce the arrival of the Switch version of The Outer Worlds on Twitter, where users are disappointed that the physical release does not include a cartridge. It is not yet known what the size of the download will be. Both the physical version and the digital version in the eShop cost $60.

The port was developed in collaboration with the studio Virtuos, who also brought LA ​​Noire and Dark Souls to the Switch. Last October, The Outer Worlds was released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Outer Worlds is a futuristic RPG set on colonized planets. DLC will be released for the game in 2020 that expands the storyline. When exactly the expansion pack will be released is not known and further details are also missing.
